FAIRBORN — Eating seasonally just became an easier — and warmer — task in the City of Fairborn as it is now hosting an indoors winter farmers market.

The market includes baked goods, vegetables, jams and jellies, bread and honey. It is hosted from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. some Wednesdays now through April at the Fairborn Senior Center, 325 N. Third St. It is slated for Wednesdays, Nov. 22; Dec. 6 and 20; Jan. 3, Feb. 7, March 7 as well as April 4 and 18.

While the city has been hosting an outdoor farmers market for years throughout the spring and summer months, this is the first time it has offered a winter’s farmers market. The outdoor farmers market typically opens in April and runs through November, with more vendors participating as the temperatures heat up. The outdoor farmers market, when it is open for the season, is held 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays in 5/3 Commons, on the corner of Main Street and Grand Avenue. Varying food trucks are known to make appearances at the outdoor market as well.
