Wright Place Retirement Community took time out to honor local veterans with a special dinner and presentation Nov. 9 at Hospitality Center, 1301 N. Monroe Drive.

Beavercreek VFW Post 8312 presented the honors for the event.

“Rosie the Riveter” is Theresa Campbell, 90, who lives at Wright Place. When she was 17 years old, she worked at the Baldwin Piano Company building in Cincinnati, building B-29 bombers for the World War II war effort. Campbell is recognized by Greene County Commissioner Tom Koogler.
