AFLCMC hosting industry days

WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — In an effort to better engage with industry, the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base will host its annual Life Cycle Industry Days Sept. 13-15 at the University of Dayton River Campus.

The event will feature guest speakers from Air Combat Command, Air Force Strategic Plans and Requirements, Office of the Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition, AFLCMC, Air Force Research Laboratory, National Air and Space Intelligence Center, Air Force Institute of Technology, and Air Force Sustainment Center and industry.

There will be a wide-range of presentations to include emerging foreign air and space threats, hot issues in acquisition, weapon systems cyber security, sustainment technology, small business discussions and partnerships.

The cafeteria-style agenda which will allow participants to choose topics and presentations that fit their interests and needs.

“LCID provides a venue for Air Force senior leaders and large and small businesses to candidly discuss acquisition ‘hot topics,’ ” said Tim Frey, an AFLCMC employee and one of the organizers of LCID. “This event showcases the Air Force’s future requirements to industry, allowing them to strategically forecast their future capability investments. A by-product of LCID is networking opportunities that might not be available elsewhere.”
