BEAVERCREEK — Soin Medical Center continued its 5th anniversary celebration with the Sounds of Summer concert featuring the Dayton Philharmonic Orchestra on July 16.

A celebration ceremony was held at the hospital in February to celebrate the five-year anniversary.

Soin Medical Center and Greene Memorial Hospital Presidnet Rick Dodds said the concert was a way to include community members in the celebration.

“We thank residents for choosing and trusting us for their health care and that’s why we wanted to celebrate and invite all of our neighbors in Greene County and the Greater Dayton area,” he continued.

The Dayton Philharmonic is a professional orchestra comprised of musicians who also teach in area high schools, universities and privately. Music Director and Conductor Neal Gittleman continues to broaden the orchestra’s repertoire with more 20th century compositions and additional variety in programming. He has introduced a number of world, American and Dayton Philharmonic premieres and has expanded performance collaboration within the Dayton arts community. With Maestro Gittleman at the helm, the orchestra continues to enjoy renewed community support and increased artistic vision.

The opening act for the concert was Moment’s Notice, a local pop/jazz band. Band members Felita LaRock, Dave Cousino, Dave Haworth, Shawn Stanley and Jerry Noble served in U.S. Air Force as Bandsmen.
