Legion taking steps toward closing

FAIRBORN — American Legion Dignam-Whitmore Post 526 is having a going-out-of-business sale — everything must go.

Tables, chairs, commercial kitchen equipment, pots, pans and utensils, Corell tableware place settings, display cases, washer and dryer and more, including 250 white chair covers that were used for weddings for $3 each.

The Post 526 Challenge Coin has now become a legacy coin. Legion officials encourage community members to remember Post 526 in the good old days with this coin. The coins are $25 each. Call the Legion and ask for Penny or Chuck at 937-878-3831, or e-mail [email protected].

It is also hosting a reunion for the members before the Legion Hall is closed forever. Post 526 will host a “Remember the Old Days” party in its canteen on Saturday, Feb 25. A great Karaoke DJ will play, and it will have food and drinks available. Everyone is invited to come and remember the Fairborn American Legion Post home from the “good old days.”

Sale, reunion planned
