FAIRBORN — Fairborn City Council has selected Colin Baenziger & Associates Executive Recruiting (CB&A) to assist with the hiring of the next City Manager.

As a part of the hiring process, CB&A will meet with council and stakeholders to obtain information needed in the recruiting process. Mayor Dan Kirkpatrick and Fairborn City Council have established a public meeting to provide an opportunity for residents and business leaders to approach the firm so that they can be a part of the city manager hiring process.

“We want the citizens of Fairborn to feel like they have a voice and want to hear their desires and concerns,” said Kirkpatrick.

Citizens of Fairborn are invited 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29 in the Fairborn Government Center Fire Training Room, 44 W. Hebble Avenue, to share information on what qualifications they feel the next city manager should possess. Baenziger is also looking for responses to what makes Fairborn a great place to live, what characteristics an individual needs to be the city manager and what are the challenges the next city manager may face.

Business and organizational leaders in the community are likewise invited 7:30-8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30 to provide input on the city manager search. This meeting will also take place at the Fairborn Government Center.

Light refreshments will be served at both meetings. Questions regarding the public meeting can be responded to by calling 937-754-3020.
