CEDARVILLE — Helping citizens navigate through the stormy presidential election is the goal of the 90-minute forum “Election 2016: History in the Making,” held 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at Cedarville University. The free event, sponsored by the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University, is open to the public and will be held in the Dixon Ministry Center.

Expert panelists will address the question, “How did we get here?” in terms of the candidates, campaign rhetoric and the role media played throughout the campaign.

The panelists are Dr. Christopher Devine, assistant professor of political science at the University of Dayton, and Dr. Mark Caleb Smith, director of the Center for Political Studies at Cedarville University.

“This has been a political campaign like no other campaign our country has ever seen. People are confused, frustrated, and some don’t know if they should even vote,” said Smith. “We’ll do our best to address these issues at the forum.”

The panelists will address various topics for the first 45 minutes of the program before accepting questions from the audience.
