WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE — Four-time Olympic athlete and 2014 Boston Marathon winner, Meb Keflezighi will be the guest speaker at the 20th annual Air Force Marathon.

The race is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

“We are excited to have Meb as our guest for this year’s race,” said Rob Aguiar, Air Force Marathon race director. “He’s an absolute rock star in the running community and I think our runners will be equally excited to hear him share his knowledge of running as well as his tremendous personal story.”

Keflezighi is the only athlete in history to win the New York Marathon, the Boston Marathon and an Olympic medal. A graduate of the University of California Los Angeles, his record includes four NCAA championships and 23 National Championships.

In 2015 Keflezighi was named the “Most Influential Person in Running,” by Runner’s World.

In between training, competing and making personal appearances, he oversees the MEB (Maintaining Excellent Balance) Foundation, which is committed to promoting youth health, education and fitness.
