Skyhawks lose setter in 3-game loss to Alter FAIRBORN — Fairborn lost its setter in a tough three-game loss to Alter on Tuesday night, 25-14, 25-12, 25-14.
Skyhawk setter Ryan Doster twisted his ankle with the score tied at 9 in the second game. He had to leave the game and didn’t come back, and it’s unclear how long he’ll be out. He finished with five assists in the match.
He will be backed up for the time being by Jared Niles, who finished with three assists.
“Tonight was a tough match. The guys got a little deflated after losing a teammate, and it’s always tough seeing a teammate go down like that,” said Fairborn head coach Eric Marthaler.
Dillon Romans had four blocks, two kills and two aces, Eric Huffman had a kill and a block, Nick Umbdenstock had two kills, a block and an ace, Dale Wilcox had two blocks and Ryan LeMay had two kills and one block.
The Skyhawks face Wayne tonight at Weisenborn Middle School in Huber Heights.
