Bucs, Skyhawks both suffer road losses
LEBANON — Xenia’s GWOC South division title hopes took a serious hit as the Bucs were beaten from the get-go in a 65-45 loss at Lebanon on?Friday night.

With the loss, Xenia falls to 4-3 in the South division and 9-8 overall. Springboro is 4-2 in division play with a South matchup tonight against Fairborn and a make-up game against Xenia next week.

Lebanon jumped on the Bucs from the onset, grabbing a 22-10 lead after the opening quarter and pushed that advantage to 25 points at halftime.

Lebanon (6-13) was led by Blake Davenport with 23 points and Dusty Isaacs scored 12.

For the Bucs, Andrew Bolka led the way with 11 points, while Morgan Michalski and Alex Briggs tallied six points apiece.

Miamisburg 74, Fairborn 69

MIAMISBURG — Fairborn dug itself an early hole and couldn’t recover as the Skyhawks fell at Miamisburg, 74-69, friday night in a GWOC South division clash.

The Vikings dominated the second quarter, outscoring Fairborn 22-8 int he frame to build a 16-point halftime advantage.

The Skyhawks came out after the intermission and cut into the deficit, trimming the score to 54-46 entering the final quarter.

Fairborn continued to put the pressure on the Vikings, but in the end, the big lead was too much for the visitors to overcome.

Chris Unice led Miamisburg (5-13, 2-4) with 20 points and Jordan Essex scored 12.

Fairborn (3-16, 2-4) had four players in double figures, led by Kendrick Willaims with 20 points. Anthony Hillsman scored 16 points, Jamil Huffman tallied 14 and Brad Hall tossed in 12 for the Skyhawks.

Fairborn wraps up its regular season tonight with a road game at Springboro.

Wayne 82, Beavercreek 41

BEAVERCREEK — Travis Trice buried six three-pointers and poured in 38 points as Wayne blewout Beavercreek 82-41.

Wayne (17-2) sprinted out to an 11-point lead after one quarter, then outscored the Beavers 24-8 in the second quarter to take control.

Beavercreek (2-16) was led by Ben McGriff with 18 points. Corey Rose added seven points.
