XENIA — The Xenia Rotary Club is once again purchasing holiday gifts for area kids.

More than 75 students from Xenia, Yellow Springs and Cedarville schools, picked by counselors, teachers and staff, will be receiving items — such as coats, shoes, clothes, books and toys — they put on a list.

The items are purchased through the Wish List charity, which was designed to effectively identify the children in the community that needed it most, but also to give the adults that work so closely with these children to have a resource to make sure they are taken care of this holiday season.

“It gives the kids and parents to make their voices heard for what they really need,” said Stephanie Johnston, parent involvement coordinator for Xenia Community Schools.

Xenia Rotary is accepting monetary donations to help grow the Wish List Program. Checks can be sent to PO Box 311, Xenia, Ohio 45385.

This is the third year for the purchase program.
