XENIA — Xenia Area Community Theater (X*ACT) is holding a children’s theater camp for kids 8 and older at the Kettering Health Network Theater in Xenia.

From learning the basics of theater to auditioning, memorization and blocking, campers will learn the ins and outs of theater life. There will also be lots of entertaining theater games to be played. To cap-off the experience, the campers will perform their own rendition of The Pied Piper Of Hamelin, re-written and choreographed by the campers themselves.

Kira Miller, theater major from Sinclair Community College, will lead the two-week camp. It runs 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday June 8 through Friday, June 19. Fees are $75 per camper and include a theater camp T-shirt. Reservations can be made by calling the theater at 937-372-0516.

The campers’ performances will be 7:30 p.m. Friday, 3 p.m. Saturday, June 20. The theater is at 45 E. Second St.
