XENIA — The Xenia Community Library plans programs for all ages for the month of November. The library is located at 76 E. Market St. For more information or to register for programs call 937-352-4000.

Early Bookworms for grades K-3, 6-7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 1. Read the book prior to the program and then attend the program for a rereading with fun learning activities.

Make Your Own Pillowcase for adults, 5:30-7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2. This class is designed for people who need to use library sewing machines. Registration required.

Learn to Knit in a Three-part Program for adults, 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 9, 16. In this three-part program learn to cast in and knit, purl, and increase, decrease and bind off. Registration required.

Wonder Robotics Club for ages 10-14, 4-5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, 9, 16, 30. Now learn to program these interactive robots through fun challenges. The club will meet once a week most weeks. Registration required.

Book Tasting: A Book Discussion Group & Lunch at the Library, 12-1 p.m Thursday, Nov. 3. Bring your lunch and a favorite book or two to the library. We’ll have lunch together and share our reading experiences. It’s a great way to discover future reading adventures.

Maker Friday for ages 12-18, 3:30-5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 4. Join the maker movement. Experiment with new technology as well as low-tech making options. All ages and experience levels are welcome.

Ed Emberley Art will be held, 4-4:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7. Following Ed Emberly’s instructions for drawing fun, funny creatures. See what you can create.

Thanksgiving Banner for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 7. Make this Thanksgiving extra special as we make a fun holiday banner to add a festive mood to your table or fireplace. Registration required.

Candy Olympics for ages 10-18, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10. How fast can you sort M&Ms? How high can you stack Starburst? Compete against your friends in these fun and tasty challenges.

Xenia Book Club for adults, 10:15-11:45 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11. Join a friendly book discussion. Everyone is welcome.

Gift Bag Class for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 14. Stamp and decorate a variety of Christmas gift bags. Registration required.

Afternoon at the Movies: The Princess Bride all ages, 2-4 p.m. Friday, Nov. 25. Join us for an afternoon at the movies and share in the magic that is The Princess Bride. Light refreshments.

Let’s Face It! for adults, 5-7:15 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. Learn to make three skin-friendly, facial products with HSCG Certified soapmaker Margaret Neff. These can be given in a gift bag to someone special or used to pamper yourself. Feel free to bring any oils you might want to use in your products. Please bring a dishpan that will hold water. Registration required.

DIY Essential Oil Class and Craft for adults, 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 29. DIY essential oil gift ideas. Have that “hard to buy for” person, need a teacher gift, or something for back to school/college care package? Learn a little about the benefits of essential oils and make items to take home. Registration required.

Altered Book: Angel for adults, 5-7:45 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30. Make a holiday angel by altering a hardcover book. Registration required.
