Student earns merit scholarship

BEREA — Caleb Shroyer of Bellbrook, a graduate of Bellbrook High School majoring in physics, earned a $15,000 Presidential Scholarship from Baldwin Wallace University.

Students from our area were among more than 400 first-year students welcomed to the Baldwin Wallace University campus this fall who claimed $5.2 million dollars in merit scholarships for their outstanding high school achievements. BW’s merit scholarships are awarded to full-time students and are renewable up to four years with good academic and social standing.

UF welcomes local students

FINDLAY — The University of Findlay recently welcomed new undergraduate and graduate students to campus for fall 2016. UF’s total enrollment is over 4,000 students. The following Greene County students are attending the college:

Mallory Barnhart of Fairborn is pursuing a degree in animal science. Barnhart is a graduate of Fairborn High School.

Sarah Collick of Fairborn is pursuing a degree in diagnostic medical sonography. Collick is a graduate of Fairborn High School.

Sierra Peacock of Beavercreek is pursuing an undecided degree. Peacock is a graduate of Beavercreek High School.

Sydney Schiavone of Beavercreek is pursuing a degree in animal science. Schiavone is a graduate of Beavercreek High School.

Mason Sherrill of Bellbrook is pursuing a degree in strength and conditioning and health science. Sherrill is a graduate of Bellbrook High School.

Dana Song of Beavercreek is pursuing a doctor of pharmacy degree. Song is a graduate of Beavercreek High School.
