GREENE COUNTY — Libraries around Greene County have a variety of the programs planned for September. The following is a listing of just some of the planned programs. Some programs require registration. For a complete schedule of activities, stop by your local library or log on to the library website at www.greenelibrary.info.

Yellow Springs

Preschool Story Time, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30.

Friday Afternoon Movie: The Princess Bride for ages 10-18, 3-4:45 p.m. Friday, Sept. 2. A storybook stable boy turns pirate and rescues his beloved, kidnapped by a prince. Popcorn provided.

Art in the Library for school children, 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 6. Be creative after school with Ms. Janet! Snacks provided.

Baby Song & Rhyme Time, 10:30-11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7, 14, 21, 28.

Read to the Dogs! 3-4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. Read to and visit with our four legged friends and their people.

Yellow Springs Mystery Book Club for adults, 12:30-1:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8. Discuss The Ice Queen by Nele Heuhaus. This book is mystery about revenge, power and secrets.

Grilling with Mariano Rios from La Pampa Grill adult, 4 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 10. Taste traditional Argentinian cuisine. Mariano and friends will share their passion for simple cooking. Registration required.

One on One Tech Tutoring for adults, 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12 and Thursday, Sept. 22. Register for a one-on-one tech tutoring session with a librarian. Registration required.

Roald Dahl Day! for ages 6 and up, 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13. We’re celebrating Roald Dahl’s 100th Birthday. Come in after school for treats, crafts and games!

Altered Book Project with Sarah Strong for adults,10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Transform an old book into a family heirloom. Bring photos, family artwork, poems, notes, etc. Use buttons, papers, stamps, pens, wash, glues, brushes and much more to create a family treasure. Registration required.

Rube Goldberg: Do it yourself for age 10 and up, 2-3:30 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17. Rube Goldberg machinesóan apparatus made from household items that is overly complicated. Build your own or work with others. Snacks provided.

After School Movie: The Cat from Outer Space, 3-4:45 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 20. Come in after school for comic relief with Disney’s 1978 film. Popcorn provided.

Kids Clay with the John Bryan Pottery Co-op, 3-4:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21. Kids will see a demonstration and have a chance to make a small simple pot on the potter’s wheel. Registration required.

Brenda Sandman-Stover presents Healthy Meals for Busy Families, 1-2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24. Learn strategies to quickly prepare nutritious and appetizing meals that will satisfy your family. Registration required.

Origami Yoda Club for ages 7 and up, 3-4 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. Love this series? Come hear a chapter read aloud, fold a simple Yoda and do other activities inspired by Tom Angleberger’s series.
