Xenia Soccer Club registration deadline May 10

XENIA — The registration deadline for the Xenia Soccer Club Fall youth soccer season is May 10th. Final registrations will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Cavalry Baptist Church, 1601 W 2nd St. in Xenia.

The club has a new website address as well. Fans and athletes can visit www.thexeniasoccerclub.com for more details. The club plays games at the Greene County Fairground Road soccer complex.

Mail-in registrations are available on the website, too. That deadline for mail-in registrations is June 2. Cost is $45 per player. Call (937) 708-0740 for more details.

FGSA now forming summer league

FAIRBORN — The Fairborn Girls Softball Association has Rec and Select Fastpitch leagues now forming for teams and individuals. Divisions range from 10U - 18U. Doubleheader games will begin June 11 and will run for five weeks at Fairfield Park in Fairborn. Entry fee for teams is $275 and individuals is $65. T-ball sessions offered

BEAVERCREEK — The city of Beavercreek Department of parks, Recreation and Culture is sponsoring a T-Ball league. Sessions will be one-hour long with instructions and game play all in one.

During this T-Ball league the basics will be taught, such as throwing and catching, fielding, batting and base running. Non competitive games will be played to apply the skills that have been taught.

Youth flag football signups under way

BEAVERCREEK — Children K- 5 are ready to have some fun learning all of the basics to football. All of the players are being grouped by age, coached at their levels of understanding. All instruction will be conducted by Jump Start Sports staff coaches. Players will learn all of the fundamentals of football such as offense and defense. as well as speed and agility training. Parent coaches may assist as well and call plays for their specific teams. Jump Start Sports staff will also officiate and supervise all games to ensure that each team is given fair playing time. Beavercreek offering youth basketball camp

BEAVERCREEK — Players of all skill levels are able to come out and improve on their basketball techniques and have an amazing time doing so. During this camp, players will be able to practice shooting, passing, ball handling, positioning and defensive techniques. They will also be able to play 3-on-3 games, as well as 5-on-5 games. The children will be able to compete in a fun mock NCAA tournament for the older aged children. Youth lacrosse leagues offered

BEAVERCREEK — Boys and girls in grades 1-5 can learn to play one of the fastest growing sports in the U.S. — Lacrosse. Equipment will be provided in this highly instructional program. Experienced coaches will be available to help the children. All participants will be able to practice and learn passing and catching, fielding ground balls; cradling; spacing; positioning; and defense.
