Legacy of Advent Giving Tree continues

January 9, 2014

FAIRBORN — Another Advent Giving Tree Project was “wrapped up” on Sunday, Dec. 15 at the Mary Help of Christians Parish Center. The Daughters of Isabella, Marian Circle 911, along with fellow parishioners, family members and friends gathered to sort, wrap and package Christmas gifts and food gift cards for 81 adults and over 100 children in the greater Fairborn area.

Christmas for the 45 families included in this year’s Advent Giving Tree Project might have been sparse this year, but through the generosity of the parishioners of Mary Help of Christians Parish, Fairborn Council 3724 Knights of Columbus, Social Actions Commission, and many others, the Daughters of Isabella were able create a magical Christmas. There were presents for all and ample food to make Christmas day a true celebration of love.
